Ballymacash Regeneration Network is a community group based in the Lisburn South area of the city. It was formerly known as North Lisburn Community Investment until changing its name in 2017.

The group initiated in 2004 when a small number of residents got together to address the needs of its people. From then the growth has been substantial. The group now boast a purpose-built community centre right in the heart of the area (29 Rathvarna Drive, Lisburn BT28 2UB). The centre allows the group to provide much needed services to those most in need. The aim of the group is to offer support and also provide services that are accessible to all. Through doing this the area can address the core issues.

Groups main functions:

  1. Health and wellbeing
  2. Improved housing facilities through lobbying
  3. Youth provision
  4. Affordable diversionary activities
  5. Single identity & cross community programmes
  6. Activities and Events
  7. Statutory agency works namely PSNI and housing agencies

The groups long term objectives are:

  1. Wrap around school care programme
  2. Paid youth development worker
  3. Men’s group
  4. Increase volunteering opportunities
  5. More sustainable/long term funded programmes
  6. Solidify relations with neighbouring groups
  7. Take ownership of the MUGA
  8. Increase overall user groups
