Laganview Coffee Morning 2019

Laganview Enterprise Centre Board, Staff and Volunteers would like to thank everyone who supported their annual coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer. It took place on Friday 20th September between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm in the main hall at the centre. Without doubt this was the busiest coffee morning yet in terms of the numbers of people who turned up on the day to support the event.

Joanne Casey Laganview’s Centre Manager said “I would really like to thank everyone who supported the event whether they turned up on the day, bought ballots, donated a prize or made something for us to serve or indeed kept everyone fed and watered. We were very honoured to host Lynda Baker with her own ‘Braving the Save’ Fundraiser and would wish her well with her own fundraising efforts”

On the day there was a massive amount of £872.70 raised for Macmillan Cancer!

As part of the morning’s activities Resurgam’s Trust Director, Adrian Bird, and the Mayor of Lisburn and Castlereagh Councillor Alan Givan presented a number of local women with their OCN accredited certificates in ‘Understanding the Troubles’ and ‘Women and Politics’. Both these courses were facilitated by Education Matters
