Vince presents signed shirt to the winner Johnny

In 2018 Vince Curry raised over £3,000 for charity and as part of his fundraising activities he completed an abseil off the roof of the Europa Hotel. For his 2019 fundraising efforts he decided to try and get several famous signatures on the t-shirt that he wore during his abseil, then auction it off for charity. Through his contacts and attending some events he managed to get the signatures of Keith Gillespie, Paul Gascoigne, Jimmy White, Carl Frampton and Rory McIlroy on his shirt.

Vince said “I wanted to do something less physical this year as the past few years has involved me doing things such as walks, runs and abseiling down a hotel. I come up with the idea of setting myself the challenge of getting some unique signatures on one shirt and then raffle it. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me with any of my fundraising activities throughout the years. I feel it’s important to give back to community”

Vince sold just over 200 ballots and brought in an amount of £500 which will see Resurgam Trust receive £250 and the other £250 will go to Emerge Counselling Services who are Resurgam’s nominated Official Charity of The Year. The lucky winner of the shirt was Jonathan McMullan who was delighted to receive such a one-off collector’s item.
