The Resurgam Trust deliver a number of outcomes for communities based upon core themes.  Under each theme you will recognise local actions that are making a difference to people’s lives and building an organisation that can deliver our mission based on core principles.

Examples of what Resurgam delivers for communities includes:


Resurgam has developed community infrastructure within all target communities both physical community centre’s and capacity of individuals through training and development.

Health and Education:

Resurgam has secured a Healthy Living Centre adjoined to Laganview Enterprise Centre which will be a hub for all activity including delivery of Making Life Better which is the health strategy and outcomes include reducing food poverty; improving physical and mental health; improved access to services.

Early Intervention Lisburn is a collaboration of statutory, voluntary and political partners supporting community and schools with interventions to improve education and creating opportunities for children and families.

Social Enterprise and Employment:

Resurgam has developed six social enterprises which employ over 100 staff between them

Community Safety:

Resurgam’s chair sits on the Lisburn Castlereagh Police and Community Safety Partnership who oversee and support Lisburn SAFE and The Welcome BME Project.  Lisburn SAFE has over one hundred volunteers within six communities, training and developing these volunteers who often gain other employment or opportunities based upon this model.


Resurgam Youth Initiative deliver community youth work to over five hundred young people each week.  Empowering Youth delivers employability programmes to young people who are categorized as being Not in Employment or Training (NEET’s).  This work links with opportunities within social enterprise and employment.
