On Wednesday 24th March 2021, The Resurgam Community Development Trust held their Annual General Meeting. This year was slightly different than any other year as the event was hosted via Zoom.
Within his opening remarks Chairman Philip Dean outlined his sobering thoughts of the challenges that have been faced by community during the last 12 months but also expressed his pride in how people have come together to do what they can to support themselves and others. Philip also paid his respects to those people who have lost loved ones during the last year.
Trust Director Adrian Bird in his report expressed heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers, staff and Board of the Resurgam Trust for their continued support and assistance in helping the organisation deliver for those most in need within our community. Adrian also outlined the challenges for the year ahead as we will witness the further impact Covid- 19 will bring to us all on top of the ‘normal support’ that is needed in community, but he reassured everyone in attendance that the Resurgam Trust will be up for the challenge and will not be found wanting.
We would like to thank our local MP Sir Jeffrey Donaldson for his kind words during the proceedings and his continued support of our work. We would also like to thank everyone who joined us, and we thank you for your support.
