The Social Investment Fund aims to reduce poverty; reduce unemployment; and address physical deterioration through strategic area based interventions which will be delivered in partnership with communities. The 4 strategic objectives of the fund are to support communities to:

  • Build pathways to employment
  • Tackle the systemic issues linked to deprivation
  • Increase community services
  • Address dereliction

The consultation events listed above are open to everyone and we encourage anyone who is interested to attend. We would also particularly welcome representatives from the breadth of Section 75 groups. Please feel free to pass this invitation on to others.

A Steering group has now been appointed to co-ordinate the development of a strategic area plan for the South East Zone and these events will further test the understanding of local needs, priorities and potential projects.
